Mr. Seymour

I hope that all my students had a wonderful holiday with family and friends. There is a lot going on at CHSMES in 2015 and we will start right away with our CHSMES Basketball league.  This week students in grades 3,4,5 will have the opportunity to sign up to play in the CHSMESBA.  All students are welcome to join and compete with and against their peers!  We will also be starting a NBA2Ball club and playing ball hockey at noon hour.  I am very excited for 2015 and all the excitement it will bring.

Mr. Seymour

STU men's and women's basketball team members came to CHSMES on Monday to give the students in grades 3,4,5 and skills and drills clinic.  The students had a great time learning from the STU student-athletes.  We are hoping to see them back after Christmas break for another clinic!  Woliwon STU!

Today the students in grades 3,4,5 at CHSMES were given a little skills and drills clinic from St. Thomas University Women's Soccer team.  All of our students had a great time and look forward to the STU athletes returning for a second session!  Thank you STU!

The CHSMES Cross Country team participated in their last race of the 2014 cross country season at Nashwaaksis Middle School last Wednesday.  All team members really worked to improve their running skills working hard at practice everyday.  A lot of effort and dedication really paid off for many successful placements and students getting better each week.  We are all very proud here at CHSMES!  Way to go!

Congratulations CHSMES students, staff, and community memebers, we raised $343.00 this year for the Terry Fox Foundation.  The money raised will go to a very worthy cause helping people of all ages battle cancer.  Way to go!  Wolamsotas!

The September Fitbuck champion is Ms. Fullarton's grade 2 class!  It was a very close race but the grade 2 class pulled it off earning 18 fitbucks!

Fitbucks are awarded when the entire class tries to do their best and follows all rules during their PE class. A class can earn only 1 Fitbuck per PE class. Once 6 Fitbucks are earned, the class can redeem them for a gym class activity of their choice.  The activity is voted on and the majority rules.  Once a Fitbuck is earned it cannot be taken away.     At the end of each month the class that has earned the most Fitbucks in PE class for that given month, will earn an entire PE class of their choosing!
