Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 got to hear a fire safety presentation from Fire Prevention officer Jeff Mack.  Students will be coming home and asking families about your smoke detector as well as a family evacuation plan and meeting points.  Please have this important discussion with your child.

CHSMES Evenings...

CHSMES will be offering a multitude of programs in the evenings for both parents and students of all grades.  Our first week of programming (Starting October 24) will be:

Monday: CHSMES BasketBall Grades 3-5 (all schools) and grades 6-8 (all schools) Boys and Girls.  You will need Indoor sneakers and and proper clothing.  WE will be working on shooting practice, Group games, Skill development as well as Basketball scrimmages.  It will start at 5:15 and run til 6:45. 

Tuesday: Language Nest Classes.  All community members are welcome to join us at CHSMES to learn Maliseet Language.  Classes will be every Tuesday from 600 - 7:00 

Wednesdays: Yoga with elementary students grades 3-5 Boys and girls,  Girls 6:00-6:45; Boys 7:00-7:45.  Older grades to begin after a 3 week rotation

Wednesday: Parent playdates for parents & students age 3&4 (K3 & K4 students) 6pm-7pm

Thursdays: Parent Playdates for parents & student age 2, 6pm - 7 pm

As the year moves on, CHSMES will be providing information sessions for parents as well as engaging activities for students k-12

CHSMES had our annual Terry Fox walk on Wednesday Sept. 29. This year our goal was to raise $500 for cancer research.

CHSMES's first Nifty Fifty celebration was a great success.  The students had such a great time and took advantage of the Park!  What a great space to enjoy! Special shout out to the City of Fredericton for giving CHSMES access to the Splash Pad!


Today CHSMES held its first science fair in partnership with Stantec Engineering firm.  All students had the opportunity to learn about different types of sciences... Aquatics, Archeology, Infrastructure, Power and Health and safety.  What a great morning of learning.  We even got to touch shark !!!

Great Afternoon at CHSMES...We had mad science, the girls choir and crowned the winner of the CHSMES skipping rope challenge.

All students had an opportunity to attend CHSMES's Poetry Cafe... they all got to experience the excitement of reading peorty in front of their peers.

CHSMES's contribution to the community and Earth day.  Cleaning up around the ball diamond!


CHSMES will be offering Mad Science afterschool program.  This program is offered to every student of CHSMES.  It will begin Monday April 25 and continue every monday until June 13 (excluding May 16 & 23, due to no school).  We will be working on buses to transport students home. 

Kindergarten - Grade 2   2:00-3:00 pm

Grade 3- Grade 5             3:00- 4:00 pm

Permission slips will be coming home today.
