After 20 years of existence, CHSMES makes the move to a middle school.  As apart of our 3 phase plan, Grade 6 has been introduced into our school and they will be the first middle school graduates of CHSMES Class of 2022.

As we work towards creating meaning educational experiences, we will be partnering with many institutions including the NB Craft college, Evolution fitness, UNB as well as a host of others.

Keep an eye out for this great group of students in the community.

2019 marks the 20th anniversary of CHSMES.  25 years ago, the leadership of the day wanted to ensure St. Mary's First Nation  students were receiveing a quality cultural education that represented our community values.

20 years into our existence and we are happy to say that we house approx 185 students in the school (Daycare, K3, K4 and up to Grade 6).  We are excited to see where the next 20 years takes us.

Thanks to our past and current leadership for allowing CHSMES full ownership of our education.  This is the start of FIrst Nation Control of First Nation Education.

Have a look at the picture and see if you notice anyone...

CHSMES will be launching our Zero Waste Lunch program starting next week... Our goal is to eliminate the amount of waste on a daily basis.  The amount of waste is primarily at lunch after all students have eaten.  If we can get parents to start the move towards containered lunches, it will drastically help us reduce our garbage disposal amounts.

Parents you can help by packing zero waste or reduced waste to help CHSMES reduce our carbon footprint.

Today CHSMES gets to venture onto our new playground structure.  Located behind the "Wasisok Tomk" wing of the school our two new structures with swings is ready to go.  Any parents that would like to bring your children, we have left a path accessible from the Health Center parking lot...

Please remember to be respectful of our community structures

CHSMES Cross Country team had one of our best years yet.  We continue to grow in numbers and our students continue to improve in their placements.  All of our students continue to impress us with their dedication and committment to our program.  This year, CHSMES brought 4 grade 2ers to compete against other grade 3's.  What a great way to demonstrate "Wolamaotas".

Special shout out to Terryn Bear, she finished as the top racer is district meets.  Great Job Terryn.

CHSMES will be welcoming Ms. Natalie Sappier next Wednesday Morning.  She, along with a few others, will be conducting workshops with the kids as part of "learning throught the Arts" program.  Really looking forward to her different avenues of sharing knowledge....  Story telling, singing, dance, drama etc...

THis weeks Profile is Mariah Brown...  She has two older brothers and one sister that has attended CHSMES.  Her favourite subject is PE and her favourite teacher is Ms. Muise.  Mariah is looking forward to attending Devon Middle school where she will get to hang out with her sister once again.  She kinda misses her.  She has participated in many sports this year including Cross Country and Bball.  Good luck at Middle School Mariah.  CHSMES will miss you!
