Mrs. Thibodeau

The students are really enjoying writing poetry  this month. Stay tuned for more.

The students in grades three, four and five had a great morning on Tuesday becoming famililiar with two possible future career choices. We had guest speakers from both the Fredericton City Police and the Fire Department. Students learned what it is like to be employed in those particular fields as well as what is required as far is education is concerned. It was a great experience for the students. We are very excited for the next group of speakers to come.

The students really enjoyed learning about their families. This was a great way for them to learn the kinship terms.

Congratulations going out to Mya, Brooklyn and Chelsey for all their hard work during the month of September. Mya received the class role model award, Brooklyn received the hard worker award as well as the phys.ed award and Chelsey received recognition for her hard work in Maliseet. Great job girls!

This is a reminder that all homework is due on Friday mornings. All homework reflects the learning that is taking place during the week so it is very important that students are spending time on homework each night. I have assigned tasks that students should complete each night and then simply check off on their homework tasks sheet. My policy regarding incomplete homework is that if it is not returned completed then it is made up either at noon recess, noon, or after school. If you have any questions regarding your child's homework, feel free to contact me at the school after the 2:45 dismissal.

It has been a great start to the first of the year! Make sure you stop and read your child's All About Me writing on the bulletin board.

Way to go girls!

The grade 4 students sure did enjoy the pancakes that were served this morning by the student nurses.
