Today we learned about structures with Jen from Science East. Grade 3 loved making bridges between balloons. It was hard work, but we had some very interesting designs!
Grade 3 has had so much fun this week! We have enjoyed a visit from Go-Go Gymnastics, sledding in Mactaquac, skating at Willie O'Ree Centre, and Zumba with Ms. Broad. These pictures show our class enjoying the presentation from the Calithumpians, school-wide BINGO (with prizes!) and Just Dance in our classroom. Enjoy your March Break!
Group 2 had a harder section of Arthur's Christmas to read - and they did a great job! In this clip, Arthur prepares his Christmas present for Santa and explains his creation to his family.
Our first group did a great job with their presentation of Arthur's Christmas! In this clip, Arthur takes his sister D.W. along with him and his friends to visit Santa at the mall.
Today our class did a quick Reader's Theatre activity with the book Arthur's Christmas. We performed two sections of the story in two different groups. I was very happy with their hard work! Wolamsotas!
Grade 3 has been working very hard preparing for the Christmas concert. Here is a little sneak preview of our first practice with Mr. Will on guitar and Mr. Jonathan on keyboard. Enjoy!
Our class enjoyed our trip to the skating rink this morning. Some of us were a little out of practice so it was good to get back on the ice!
Grade 3 had so much fun at the Halloween celebrations today! Woliwon to all of the families who sent in treats for the class. We had a wonderful parade and recognition award ceremony. Happy Halloween!
Grade 3 started a science experiment this week in our unit on plants. We talked about how flowers grow from bulbs and planted 4 bulbs: 2 amaryllis and 2 hyacinth. We are treating each bulb a little differently to see which conditions are best for the plants. We are looking forward to seeing them grow over the next few weeks!
Our class has been reading lots of Arthur books this school year. We love author Marc Brown's stories because the characters are so funny and Arthur is in grade 3 just like us! Today we decided what Arthur should be for Halloween. There were a lot of good ideas suggested!
